I see many people requesting Warlords I through 3 and even 4 (NOT Battlecry versions, I see you have Battlecry III) but I never see an answer.

Is GOG TRYING to get Warlords 1-4? (remember that is different than the Battlecry versions).

Is there problems with getting it? Many of us are waiting for some word. Can you let us know something like ....
We have them - we are making modifications now to get rid of DRM - expect them to be listed in X weeks.
We have contacted the makers (X weeks ago) and waiting for their reply (hopefully they will reply soon).
They denied us (or wanted too much money) - sorry folks we cannot get it now, we will try again in 2 years.

Something like that.
With so many people requesting it, I hope you can "keep us up to date".

Note: I read a few threads, if I missed a thread where you replied, sorry. Just point me to the right thread.

Thanks!

Normally the GOG staff doesn't reveal any kind of information how negotiations for new games are going until they are done.

The right holders are probably Strategy Studies Group (http://www.ssg.com.au/) and maybe Steve Fawkner (the original creator) too. Interestingly enough you can not buy it anywhere now. (?)

I am absolutely sure GOG already tried to get these classic strategy games. So there must be a problem. However small publishers come more regularly than big ones.

But unless GOG specifically announces it, it could it in one week, one year or never.
Welcome to the GOG forum :-)

Here's the sort of "standard answer" from the community FAQ:

Please add *insert game/publisher here* to the GOG library!
GOG has a handy dandy wishlist that you can use to post your requests for games on GOG. Just make sure you search the wishlist to see if anyone else has already added the game you want and if they have, vote for it instead of creating a new entry. Additionally, if you wish to simply discuss the games you want to see on GOG, you can post in the Official Beg Thread: "This Game Belongs on GOG!".

Will you be adding *insert game/publisher here* to the GOG library?
GOG does not release specific information on prospective games or publishers until they already have agreements in place. They will not comment specifically on who or what they are trying to get, only what they do have (though they do occasionally drop cryptic hints about upcoming releases). Check the site's main page for news on what is coming soon, it gets updated every Tuesday and/or Thursday. Also, Delixe has created an excellent Publishers not on GOG and will they be? thread where the odds/pros and cons of many publishers coming to GOG are discussed.
Edit: Ninja'd!

I have #4 at home, but it is incompatible with windows 7 as hell... took me ages to get it installed but never managed it to get it running on Windows 7.

This will really be a tough one if they get it sometimes :)

I, for one at least, would love some info on whether or not GOG can get these games.... I understand there are other games with many more votes... but http://www.infinite-interactive.com/ is still around, and if they're looking for some good advertising for their new games - I can't think of any better than letting GOG put out some of their GOOD OLD GAMES and even make some money with it.

Just a few days shy of a 2-year necro...

Nice necro there :-p. As for Infinite Interactive, why not ask them directly. Might have better luck than with GOG staff as any negotiations GOG might have had with them have been done under NDA (Non-disclosure agreement).
