ET3D: Are you interested in games that don't have a PC version? Games like Broken Sword (1,2,5) and Shadowrun Returns are on Android (and many others), but if you already have a PC version you might not be interested.

Final Fantasy games up to VI are on Android but far as I know not on PC.
It doesn't matter, Shadowrun Returns would be cool, as would any of the Final Fantasy games. I did not realize they were available for Android. Are they the same Final Fantasy games that originally came out on the console? I would love those.

I obviously don't know much about what's out there for Android. I originally purchased this to be a reader, as I read all manuals to every game I play, and was getting tired of the expense and storage of printing them out. So all I had dabbled with as far as games are concerned was a couple of Bowling games, one of which I liked, and a Sodoku (or whatever that thing is) which I've always enjoyed in book form. That's it. I've looked at others, but as I said above, they always seemed to me to be "for kids" or "kid like" or something, don't know how to really explain it except to say the word "lame" always came to mind when I would look at a few on the app store.
if you dont know yet http://www.amazon.com/mobile-apps/b?node=2350149011
you can get a free app a day, sometimes there are good games like the bards tale and sonic.

Great info, thanks for that.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is F2P, and the original is also available.
Sword & Sworcery

Ur-Quan Masters is a version of Star Control 2.

Machine Knight is a free RPG from a company that makes quite a few such RPG's.

I enjoyed Asphalt 8, a racing game. Actually played money for it, but it's F2P now.

Deus Ex: The Fall is kind of a mini Deus Ex: Human Revolution style game.

You can also install ScummVM and play the adventure games it supports.

The mobile Final Fantasy games are ports of updated versions; many Nintendo DS era (not necessary the most recent editions, sans PSP era). They retain the same plot but have "updated" graphics and some different design elements, additional content, or features for smartphones (like quicksave). Some have adjustable difficulty. I'm playing FF 6 now and enjoying it - it's now got quick tip hints on where to go a trading card style bestiary. FF3 might be the biggest update with isometric graphics cute midget style artwork.

Final Fantasy Dimensions is a surprisingly solid mobile exclusive JRPG in a similar style.
