chautemoc: I don't mind using rechargeables. Worth the very minor hassle, but that is me.

I don't know what his reason is but some people will only ever burn with their high priced burners and all read heavy applications get shunted to the trash drive.

I thought this was a good idea, no? Use the cheep burner to install from, and search disks, saving the better drive to burn with. Why is this not a good idea?

I didn't say it wasn't, I don't do it, but some people do. To me a 60 dollar drive is the same as a 35 dollar drive, so I don't, I'm just saying why some people do, not passing judgment:)

One thing seems wrong to me. You plan 3 x 4gb memory sticks. 890FX-UD5 MB has 2x2 memory slots. So, unless you want to lose some memory efficiency, you should build a system with either 2 or 4 sticks. 2x4 GB is what I'd go for.

Otherwise a fine build

wodmarach: Sorry but no the 68xx is a hybrid it has the same style of shaders as the 58xx series but a whole new uncore taken from the 69xx series the 69xx series is entirely new. 4 Medium complexity shaders instead of 4 simple and 1 transendental, new memory controllers and scedulers, new TDP control hardware and UVD.. Overall the Caymen series is a massive change of design from the 58xx series (which used the same shader design as 2900)
Of course there are changes. But I have seen too many of these "marketing tricks" in the past years, technological marvels that eventually meant little in terms of gameplay. These innovations are usually paired with technological names that sound to me like the marketing arguments used by bankers to sell their structured finance products.

One example with the 68xx is the new anti-aliasing, the morphological AA. Nice concept, but only working with catalyst 10.10 and that you have to force in the driver. iN my view there is no reason to upgrade a 57xx, let alone a 58xx to a 68xx . ( although anyone with an older graphic card and looking for an update should consider the 68xx range as their quality / ratio is pretty attractive )

Yeah, I'm on 5770 and holding out for the 7xxx series.
Also, MPAA sucks..distorts menus and text and is still a pretty big performance hit.
Well guys, I have one last question before I order.

The Motherboard I am looking at states the memory is 4 slots at 1.5 volts
The MemoryI am looking at is 1.65 volts.

Is there going to be an issue if I buy this motherboard with this memory?

I am sure someone here knows about this kind of stuff, because I have no clue.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

On Gigabyte's site you should be able to download a compatibility table.

The table does mention two DDR3 1333 from Corsair but not that one

the following are mentionned though
