These sales are amazing. I just broke down and bought another game. Race Driver: Grid. I have no idea even I can even play it on my system, and if not, then no worries, at least I am still supporting GOG.

Will a simple joystick or keypad/mouse work, or do I need something else?

Hoping to get a response, though admittedly, I did ask here, and it seems the lights have been out for a while, with the plast post a few days ago. http://www.gog.com/forum/race_driver_grid/controller_for_the_game
it wil work with a mouse or joystick but what you really need is controller
preferbly a xbox 360 controller

its a console game at heart and it works best with a controller the controsl are a bit impresice otherwise and ina game as hard as thsi thats not recommended you wil eb swearing enough as it is

and for gods sake no matter what you do do not install it on a 5400 rpm drive or on your main drive

grid keeps a 2 gig replay file which slows down your system to an insane crawl ( i tried it on a i3 and an i5 and under both grid performed abysmal untill i installed the game to an usb stick and turned instant replay off )
I use keyboard when I play

Thanks for the tip....a USB stick? That is a new one. How did you do that?
just point the installer to a usb stick ( 16 gig or bigger the game is 10 gig )
you can choose where you want to install during the setup and the game runs just fine from a usb stick
