Who ok'd the mortgage plans that caused this screw up in the first place? oh that would be the conservatives, who destroyed 90% of the jobs in the north? that would be the conservatives, who sold off our industries to their funders? that would be you guessed it the conservatives.

People see to have gained rose tinted vision of the 80's seriously the ONLY reason that maggie stayed in power for a second term was she started a war against a country she knew was no match, over a scrap of land nobody really wants! We had more riots last time the conservatives were in power than any other period of our history since the peasent rebellion! Hell they brought back a tax that was so hated the first time round it CAUSED the rebellion!(i'm looking at you polltax)

Btw i'm not a laborite I WAS libdem but left after my local libdem minister sold out his ideals for the dep pm position. I grew up in the north in the 80's tell me I had it better then I DARE YOU!

Gotta love all the Conservative idiots *STILL* blaming everyone else for their own messes..... And calling for Guy Fawkes to come back. Idiots don't even know their own history : Fawkes was an anti-monarchist out to kill the king, not the politicians

see how easy that gets changed?

H2IWclassic: Australia's bad for censorship, I know that much. Not sure about NZ...

In any case, being in the SE near London has its perks.
That's COMPLETELY incorrect. No censorship has actually passed parliament! Compare Australia to the UK, where legislation isn't required because the ISPs voluntarily choose to censor what the government wants!

No, censorship in Australia will never pass because the Greens (equivalent of the Lib Dems) hold the balance of power for AT LEAST the next 6 years of government and are ferociously against it. Which combines well with the Opposition party also being against it.

So you're left with what? No censorship, and a universal country-wide 1 Gbps fibre to the home network subsidised by the government at a cheap price (yet also one which will pay back the government's investment within 10 years). The Net in Australia couldn't be better!
