Breaking Bad is the best dramatic Tv series ever.

I take it you've never watched The Prisoner then. That's a series that is much more deserving of the title.
No show where a major plot point revolved around a contract dispute is a contender for best ever.
I'm going to be Alexander the Great here and just could through this discussion by recommending

The Wire

To quote Wikipedia:

"The Wire has been described by many critics as the greatest television series ever made and one of the most accomplished works of fiction of the 2000s[2][3][4][5][6][7]" [!]

That show should be mandatory for every US citizen.
I love how people after few pages start to totally ignore the OP's request and start posting their personal favourites :P

I think the OP's question has been pretty well covered at this stage.

Isn't this Breaking Bad season 4 essentially?

SPOILERS DONT READ IF YOU'RE NOT CAUGHT UP ON BREAKING BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gus' entire antagonism toward Walter is because Walter broke his very explicit contracts laid out in season 3. The entirety of season 3 and 4's plot momentum is based on Gus and Walter's various (often misguided) business strategies. I'm a bit surprised I need to elaborate since a big part of the show lately has been the monotony that Walter's life has become after joining the big corporate entity. A lot of the thematic ground covered in season 4 is similar to stuff in Mad Men. Just more meth and explosions.

I meant contract disputes between actors and producers, not characters in the show. The entire middle of The Prisoner has a different main character, and a completely divergent plot, since the producers decided to simply write out the main character rather than give in to his demands.

DieRuhe: Never any interest in either of them.

"Justified" is a lot of fun.

stellathestud10: Justified is mine and my wife's favorte show. It's always a long 9 months waiting for Raylan to get back on TV. The interaction between Raylan and Boyd in the show might be the best back and forth relationship on screen today.
I can't remember the characters, but man I really laughed at this (I'm paraphrasing):

"Shoot 'em in the back of the head."
"What if he's lookin' at me? Do I shoot him in the front of the head?"
"The front of the head is called the 'face', and yea, that counts too."
Thanks to this thread I started watch Breaking Bad 2 days ago. I'm already over halfway into season 2. Freaking excellent.
