Not directly based on a game, but Austin Grossman wrote a book called You, which is inspired by his time working for Looking Glass Studios.

I read some of the Halo books, but they weren't all that great and there are far too many of them now. Now, unless I really enjoy a franchise, I tend not to read the books; there are so many other great books out there, I don't want to waste time with some of those mediocre game-based books.

I'd like to read the book that inspired Metro myself.


I believe you are mistaken though, to my knowledge Dead Space was not based off of a book.

Speaking of which, I thoroughly enjoyed Dead Space: Martyr, but that may be due to my fandom.
