SirPrimalform: I think... you might have missed the OP's (and my) point...

They do have set prices, which is why calling them averages is disingenuous. I don't think anyone's complaining about the use of the term bundle.

Momo1991: Ok, I did see your point- they've taken all of the verbiage from so-called "bundles" and brought it over to their "store" in order to cash in on the bundle phenomenon. And including "BTA" is part of the expectation created by the bundle phenomenon...

Some people are not going to be fooled by it and are going to be upset by false or at best, disingenuous advertising. Some people will fall for it and be happy -"Gee look what a great deal I got."

I agree with your point. I'm just saying that it's a marketing tactic - perhaps disingenuous or perhaps devious - but a marketing tactic nonetheless.
I see what you mean, yeah. You're probably right... Of the current bundle runners they always did seem the most 'just in it for the money'.
Which is why many of the other bundles support a charity. The funds raised go to support struggling developers, provide excellent PR for young, unknown devs and add a charity aspect to raise the visibility of the bundle. This is a good and valuable thing in my book.

Now, Indie Gala is running a business and businesses usually need to show a profit to stay in business. I have nothing against that! It's just common sense.

What I find objectionable is playing on people's sense that their store bundles are exactly like a one-time bundle page. They are taking what was supposed to be a good thing and corrupting it for profit.

That is the what I find to be the negative part of their marketing - not that they make money - but that they are playing off the good intentions of people to make a buck.
