The Iraqi's handle our mail.. so anything *cool* anymore is stolen.... Which is part of the reason I am not ordering anything more on Amazon or any other site. I will either a fly to Turkey, KSA, or UAE to go *shopping* lol........

Yeah, I figured more often than not your food was probably bad. Pecan pie sounds good:) That's my family's Thanksgiving tradition.

We do get (I think) Baskin Robins ice cream as well.... (may have changed dunno ill look today) and again, anything that gets here that is ready to serve is ok. Fruit, cake, soda, energy drinks, chips, but anything that is cooked... :( meh

There are three days a year where we look forward to the dfac, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Marine birthday, (Superbowl two beers so... I guess that is cool still the food sucks)

The women who have the ability to understand that a relationship in Iraq is not the same as a relationship elsewhere are keepers. They are not the ones freaking out when you are not back from the city when you are supposed to be back, they also don't put *fake* ied's under your bed when you chatted with another woman...... lol

To be fair... I *may* have deserved it :) (the IED thing... it was a fake)

It is stressful enough as it is, so of course a relationship can make it worse.

Ok to be really fair....... I did in fact deserve it... :)

Give me a shout whenever you have a scheduled shopping trip to KSA (especially Jeddah). I'm willing to drive 300+ km just to meet the great akwater. :P

I'm working here in Yanbu Industrial City (300+ kilometer north of Jeddah).

I can't imagine the horrendous beef gravies you have tried to think that country gravy is the best...:)
