Al1: What the hell kind of message is this game trying to put across? 'Hey kids, remember, if people disagree with you, it's okay to resort to violence. Just think, WWBMD? Thats right, bust a cap in yo ass.'
Those protesters are so wacky!

ChaunceyK: How does a game whose theme is "kill everyone who believes differently from you" get an "E for Everyone" rating? Sounds like terrorism to me.

sauvignon1: Pokemon is about enslaving animals to fight for you and it managed to squeak by. Why should this be any different?
Even if it's not different to the OP of the comment - it's VERY different to me. Pokemon takes place in a highly fantasized world.
"critically acclaimed"

WHAT
This game gives Jagged Alliance 2 a run for its money. lol

I remember finding a safari hat in a church Sunday school, and coming up with a corny song about going on a "Jesus Safari", then sadly realized if I sang this song to someone at that church they wouldn't see the sarcasm and would actually like it, and I would have to renounce my faith and commit suicide.

See also "Sanctified Slide" on youtube for more forehead slapping.

Now I don't know what happens when you die, and I don't want to trounce on someone's faith but stuff like this is not going to convert anyone who couldn't be swayed at a church barbeque anyway, so why try? Why try?

michaelleung: "critically acclaimed"

WHAT
That can be the result of a single critic approving and that critic could well be the programmers mum who says "Nice to see you making an effort dear, it looks lovely" when she's really thinking "What is this, 1998? Look at those graphics!"

michaelleung: "critically acclaimed"

WHAT
It's a typo. It should read 'criticized and unclaimed'.

In all seriousness, I am a Christian, and I still find this an incredibly sorry ripoff on various franchises I actually love, prepared by oddballs who have little grasp on how to communicate their principles with a generation they haven't even tried to actually understand. On top of that, even for a Christian this concept is indeed offensive - defame those who disagree with you by giving children a pixel image of them to beat up! I remember being given a game called 'Catechumen' as a child, and being so frustrated with its constant preaching and terrible game mechanics I refused to play it and spent hours playing Star Wars: Jedi Knight instead. The moral here is that indoctrination should be pleasant if you're going to do it anyway. Or perhaps the moral is that a Christian company should follow the ethics they've supposedly been taught by scriptures and do their work to the best of their abilities, or just leave the video games and movies alone.
I'll be honest, this isn't the worst evangelist game I've ever seen. Who can forget (remember) the Left Behind game, an RTS based on the pulp fiction evangelist bullshit. I remember reading about how it was fucking sexist because women could only do things like become a nurse while men did all the killing - I'm pretty sure women can shoot people too. And misogynistic themes aside you could even play as the antichrist faction in multiplayer - not that anyone would be playing that game.
