Lou: I did notice on the website that a full BG2 install will be required in the future - maybe they plan to pull sounds ... from there any ideas on why?

Virama: Hmmmmmmmmm valid question there!

Damn hearing people and their sounds! Seriously, sounds take up SO much space - I used to love the old 486/66 days when they asked you if you wanted sound installed or not.

Anyway, really looking forward to this! And since BG2 is DEFINITELY coming out here in GoG, I'm not too concerned about the need for this game etc etc. :)
In fact the website says it will be coming out on GOG and everyone should get it since it will be required.

Gundato: Out of curiosity (haven't downloaded it), what exactly did they "create"?

From looking at the trailer, they may have created the clone tubes, and that is it. Everything else looks like stuff that was already in DA:O. Creating the party members was just spending twenty minutes with the character creation screen.
Nope, I was at their forums for sometime, asking for advise and instructions on how to import a custom 3D model into the game and making it work and followed their progress through the BG2 mod. Bunch of geniuses there. They used the face making mod tools to make the NPC faces like Irenicus. Takes alot of work. DAO toolset isn't exactly user friendly.
