Elmofongo: Thats also another criticism against Catacylsm. Why can the Night Elves be Mages now when the lore clearly establishes that Night Elves hated the Arcane Magic arts blaming it for the Sundering of the world.

But than again I have a logical explination as to why. They have been allied with the Alliance for a long time now that they became accepting of magic since everyone else uses Arcane Magic without being power hungry monsters. The Humans and Dreanai uses Arcane Magic responsibly that the Night Elves thought that times did change and if these people can use this Magic responsibly then mabye we should put aside our prejedice and use it, we need all the help we can get.

cw8: I no longer bother why a certain race can be of a certain class. They're gonna make the game more accessible to more and more people due to complaints and feedback. And sooner or later we're gonna have any race being able to be any class. Lore can screw to one side.
Well I am just saying that the Night Elves reasons for becoming Mages might have a logical explination.

Also what are the lore reasons that Humans can't be Hunters before Cata?

Is WOW always like this when a new expansion launches? Was it like this for WOTLK, CATA , and MOP?

Either way I sort of called it because I made a thread asking questions about WOD before it released and I said will there be launch issues? And lo and behold Laucnch issues :P

I give it a week until everything clears up.

But I will say this. The fact that there are so many people is probably a new generation of WOW players combined with a majority of old school fans who felt disenfranchised from the Panda-esque exapnsion, (Even though I liked Mist of Pandaria any expasnion that introduced a new continant/world has my praise)

And I bet the Level 90 boost really helped with the increase of subs.

I am finally back in and holy shit.

I am feeling some strong Morrowind vibes in this World of Dreanor (as in feeling alien with all the Mushroom trees, but then again thats already been done in Burning Crusade :P)

Actually mushroom trees were already present in Beyond the Dark Portal, the Warcraft 2 expansion - they replaced the regular trees in the "orc dimension". And that's what I instantly thought of when I first found the mushroom trees in Morrowind.

Warcraft 3 is one of the epic games of my teenage years, I've spent countless hours in the campaign and also with neighbors playing at the LAN. Thanks for this thread because it has revived a lot of great memories, but at the same time I'm also sad that such an awesome game will never come to GOG, since Blizzard just doesn't care about selling games at the other platforms.

Okay, so for the logging issues. Their servers seem to be spammed either by people trying to log in or by attackers. I haven't had any issues after logging in, so it can't be the game itself.

For the zones, damn, I have been to two zones only, Shadowmoon Valley and Gorgrond, and these are pretty much the best designed zones so far in WoW. So many things to see, so many details to look at. So much clutter and props and trees and grass and everything. Outland looks disastrous compared to this.

Indeed. Outlands is supposed to look ravaged and barren, war-torn.

Though I assume he means by visual and technical standpoint. Textures, ground clutter etc.
