This weekend we're having a special offer for all good adventure games fans at GOG! How about a 50% discount on some of the best adventures ever made on PC like Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive or The Longest Journey! If you don't have them yet, you owe yourself this great adventures pack. Check the full list of titles on [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/adventure_titles]the promo page. And you know what's also cool, no matter if you buy the whole pack or buy just one of the games from the offer you'll always get a 50% discount. The promo ends on Monday, December 6 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Another day, and another reason to love gog.com! Saw your weekend special, saw that two of the games are interesting to me, klicked the others off and...surprise, surprise!!...the 50% discount stays...wow!
Right away, I bought the two games I was interested in.

*both thumbs up*

Davane: I wanted to ask - if we buy a game here and it later comes up in another promo using the all for 50% or some for 30% model, do we have to buy the same games again to get the 50% deal?

DeadlyRamon: If you already own at least one of the games in a promo, and there's an "all for 50% or some for 30%" deal, then the game or games you already own will be greyed out and flagged "already owned," in which case you'll get the 50% discount by purchasing all of the remaining games.
Sweet! As a games fanatic, I've pretty much wishlisted every game on GOG, including the ones I already own on disk, and these promos are an ideal way to pick them up!

That would kind of suck, but promos like this are good for research for ideas for my RPG company - www.dvoidsystems.com
What do you think this is: Steam or something. :)
Ok, Tex & JP BiT bought... This is first time we got 50% off no matter how many games from promo bought... I wonder if we witness changes in gog.com promo strategy.. We shall see. This weekend was indeed nice.

You are mistaken regarding the highlighted part. There were a couple of such promos already, they are just very rare.
EDIT: for example, this wasn't a "bundle promotion".

Just bought the whole pack. Actually I had two of the games on old CDs, but it's so much easier to dl from GOG. Besides. It's my 200th day on GOG (or so my profile claims), so I had to treat myself to something :D

I ended up buying Journeyman Project 2. I already own Sanitarium (hard copy), and the Tex Murphy game (both physical and GOG copy), and... Longest Journey doesn't interest me. >_>

The Longest Journey is actually the best game of that group.
