The only really good defrag software imo is Ultimate Defrag, which sadly isn't free. Well, you could download the trial and do some ninja defragging on every harddrive ever owned or something at least hehe :D
Note: Ultimate Defrag is really only useful for advanced users who like to tweak everything and have bookshelves full of book about the inner workings of hard drives. ;)
...anyway, it's not freeware, and free and open source is way to go.
