Off the top of my head right now in the US there is a commercial where a man is in the doghouse for upsetting his wife. He says "she told me she wanted a birthday present that went from 0 to 200 in seconds, so I got her a scale." That one makes me laugh.

I often, quite sadly, surf old 80's and early 90's commercials on youtube for that nostalgic feeling of being a kid again in simpler times.

I was honestly expecting for him to go flying off the chair and smash into the wall and there to be blood and broken bones etc. You know, the usual "shock tactics" for these sorts of PSAs.

But this.. this is the way to do it. You don't need to see him get injured to get the message and honestly, they could have just cut it without showing any text and lost nothing either.

I can't actually remember any of the another seatbelt PSAs that uses shock tactics but I'll remember this one for sure.

Whoever came up with this isn't paid enough.

This thread reminded me of this strange commercial that I saw a while ago, for what I believe was pot noodles. I think it was either Belgian or Dutch and it was an animation of a guy on a toilet. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I cannot find it.
