Round 12: Get Rich or Die Trine.
The Whispered World has won the Battle of Indies, so you can help one young melancholic clown to stop the end of the world for only $5.99. Trine, an award-winning physics-based action platformer, will reeive the 40% discount and is available right now, also for only $5.99.

The next round features the best that Action RPG has to offer.
Round 13: Two Worlds vs The Witcher
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is one of the best RPGs ever made--if we do say so ourselves ;)--and one that cannot be summarized in just a few words. The Witcher’s got it all: challenging combat, a non-linear story, great dialogue, moral ambiguity, great graphics and an original musical score, and, finally, a “real” dark fantasy world created by the famous Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. If you’ve never played it--shame on you!
Two Worlds is a worthy opponent, however--an action RPG with a well-told story and impressive execution, topped with stunning visuals. The Epic Edition includes the original Two Worlds along with two expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Vote today and explore its diverse world 60% off tomorrow!

Two different worlds of rpg’s compete today--so vote now!

For each day between June 19 and July 5, two games will battle one on one and you will decide which title wins. VOTE NOW! Each Round of the Battle begins at 1 PM GMT (9 AM EST) and ends after 24 hours. After each round, the winner of the popular vote will be discounted 60% and the runner-up 40%, for the following 24 hours. Bookmark the Battle of the Games page, check back every day, vote, and buy amazing games 60% off during our summer Battle of the Games!

gameon: Does the GOG version of Two Worlds include all the patches?
avatar
JMich: I think it should be patched up to latest official version, though I've no idea what that may be. You could ask either ForgetDeny or BadDecisions which appear to have it installed, or you can prod me again later on to see if I'll manage to install it, since I don't have it installed atm.
Well i have the game, but i have no idea about how many patches there are. Its just that when i do get round to playing it, it would be good to know that i have the latest patches, so there is less chance of getting a game breaking bug.

Thanks for the help also :)

A look at the game's forum seems to indicate that it is the last official patch (1.7b), though you may also need a "lip synch" patch that can be found there as well. You shouldn't be encountering any really game breaking bugs, though the usual tips apply (save often, use multiple saves etc).

Pretty sure it's fully patched. Have not encountered a single game-breaking bug in my playthrough, though in all honesty I've yet to finish the main quest - the game is far more engaging if you take it as an open world of hacking, slashing and loot-bashing.

The feedback is very welcome. Especially the fact that you had no major glitches/crashes so far.
Well, congrats to Two Worlds for winning the votes :-)
The Witcher is the better game of these two, but I guess a lot of people own it.

Anyway, if anyone has problems with lip synch in Two Worlds, I found a really odd fix:
Run Windows media player in the background.

Oh, and don't let the horrendous mess of a game that is the console version discourage you from getting Two Worlds, it is a pretty decent game on the PC. Not the best game ever, far from, but it is fun (though surprisingly short).

JMich: This is not a "Which game is better" vote, this is a "Which game should be discounted more" vote.
Technically speaking it IS a "which game is better" vote. Thats the "intended" point of the battle. But seriously, why did you feel you have to explain the obvious? Was the irony not clear enough for you?

why the hell you are bumping a dead thread? to start a fight?
The Witcher is a better game.

But, I already own it, so I voted selfishly and got Two Worlds.

How is it dead? Last post 5 days ago. Not 5 months or 5 years. Not trying to start a fight at all. I would honestly like to know his motivations.
