The Tower of Drauga for the PS2 did this but not sure if any of the gads of Rogue-Likes for PC have implemented a feature that allows for you to bank several of your prized items to use in your next play through after you die and have to start all over again.

It tends to give incentive to play as you are actually making progress rather than just a high score.

Any PC Rogue-Likes out there use a similar feature?

I haven't found any like this, however there was on where there was is an option for infinite lives.

I'll search my download history, it's the best answer I can give.
I think A Valley Without Wind has something similar, though I can't be sure as I have not yet played it. I just recall the Giant Bomb guys mentioning something about it in their quick look.

I'm not sure how strongly would I classify this as a roguelike, but you should give Realm of the Mad God a try. It does run on the permadeath model at all times and you can bank over stuff to your other characters, assuming you don't die before that.

Quite a lot of people at all times, free and compact.

I have Valley and even though I still have it installed I haven't played it since the full retail release came out. Back during beta, however, when you died your inventory just appeared in the next character you took control of back at base.

I've seen that and it looks interesting. There's no real $ shop is there?

Well, NetHack has a "bones" feature. When your character dies, there's a chance that his corpse and belongings are saved to the level he died on. If one of your other characters reaches that level, he can loot the corpse. He will have to fight whatever kills the former player, of course, as well as the former player's ghost. Also, items from corpses tend to be cursed, though this can be remedied in numerous ways.

I liked that feature, it gives the dungeon some continuity, and it gives an incentive to dive in again (without giving the next character too powerful items from the get-go).
