I was just going through the behind the scenes videos on telltale...

SHIT OH MAN WHAT YOU WANT MONEY? TAKE MY MONEY I DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE!
Very disappointing. They're costing themselves potential sales for two months since people on the fence won't commit until they've played the game. It's like they're still fuming over the whole free code for Wallace thing. It was equally their fault for allowing it to happen.

It does sort of suck but thinking about it it might be an experiment to drive purchases, after all people do seem to be more likely to part with money for something they'll get quickly.

I'd not be surprised if they'd get better sales if someone finished episode 1 then can order episode 2 and beyond knowing they'll have it the next installment within the next few days (or even immediately).

It might get them more sales than everyone finishing the free episode, looking to see when they can get the next one only to find its 2 months away and thinking "I'll come back then" and promptly forgetting it

That's a solid counter-argument to mine but this year was huge for Back To The Future. 25th anniversary, New home video release, retrospective interviews with Lloyd and Fox, game hype etc. I'm all ready to go to play now. I worry that in two months my enthusiasm for Back To The Future will wane severely by february. Appreciation for a franchise can be very cyclical at times.

If only there was some way to be able to get the game sooner. I bet sacrificing a goat would do it for you.
If only we had some sort of vehicle that could travel through time if you went fast enough. Then we could travel to February, get the game, and return.

Give me more credit than that. I'd probably sacrifice a champion race horse!

I hear what our saying, but your talking about committing to an entire series and hope for the best. I'm not much of a point click fan at all to begin with. I ended up uninstalling Machinarium after playing for 40 minutes. It's well made but I wasn't really enjoying it.
