Grab your hiking mouse and climbing keyboard and get ready for an amazing voyage--there’s a whole weekend full of adventure ahead of you. [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/adventure_games_weekend_promo]This weekend a great selection of adventure games is available 50% off on GOG.com. You can get Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Little Big Adventure 2 (Twinsen’s Odyssey), Simon the Sorcerer series, and many more spectacular titles for half-price until Tuesday, July 31 at 03:59 AM GMT.

Let’s start with Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, the exciting sequel to one of the most acclaimed adventure titles in the history. In Dreamfall a young, unwitting heroine by the name of Zoë Castillo becomes involved in a complicated plot that endangers the existence of two parallel worlds: the technologically advanced Stark and magical Arcadia. To save them she sets off to search for April Ryan, who traversed the boundary between the realms ten years before. Dreamfall offers it all: intelligent dialogues, gripping story, and, most importantly, solving puzzles in a 3D environment using some unique in-game mechanics. We’re offering you Dreamfall: The Longest Journey 50% off for the next 3 days.

Little Big Adventure 2--better known as Twinsens Odyssey to Northern American players--continues the story of Twinsen, the hero of Twinsun, a colorful, yet dangerous world suspended between two suns. In his new quest Twinsen, whos’ now an accomplished wizard, travels in search of means to defend his planet from an outerworldly invasion. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg of trouble that he’ll have to face in this 3D action adventure game, certified with 5-star rating from GOG.com users. Little Big Adventure 2, a great game for kids to learn what video games should look and feel like, is fully localized in English, German, and French and text-localized in Spanish, Italian, and Portugese. Grab it now for only $2.99!

Simon the Sorcerer, Simon the Sorcerer 2, and Simon the Sorcerer 3D is a cherished series of adventure classics known for its tongue-in-cheek humor, devious puzzles, and countless allusions to popular fantasy books, games, and movies. While the first two games use hand-crafted pixel-art graphics and a traditional point-and-click interface with clickable on-screen commands, the third one takes Simon’s misadventures into a 3D environment while retaining all of its predecessors’ charm. Put yourself in the pointy shoes of a young apprentice of wizardry for 50% off, this weekend only on GOG.com

Point-and-click yourself towards the promo page and embark on a fantastic adventure for 50% off!

Endzville: Pretty sure its a sequel seeing as its page refers to it as "the continuation of a saga".

What I wanted to ask anyone who's played Dreamfall is whether or not its worth buying if you haven't played or own the first game. Is there some sort of Prologue that explains the events of the first or what?
I played Dreamfall first (on the original Xbox) and loved it. There's no prologue that explains the events of the first, but I figured things out and never felt like I needed one.
Thanks for the suggestions guys! Ya, I forgot to mention that I really love adventure games in general, and especially the point-and-click ones (introduced in the form of King's Quest V, later revisited in Quest for Glory IV and been loving it since then), hence the consideration of picking up at least Simon 1 and 2. I also love time-travel themed sci-fi, that's why I hesitate between JP 2 and 3 or just 3.

I also agreed that games made in late 90s/early 2000s, especially the ones done in 3D graphic, are not very pleasant to look at at this age, making them aged poorer than their predecessors. I also really wanted to play FMV games when they came out in those years, been able to only look at the review on gaming magazines and TV shows since I believed my PC will not be able to handle the game at that time. But, it also looked to have the same case as the early 3D games; dated looking graphic that might or might not hinder the gameplay experience (been spoilt with HD graphics, lol!), and the fact that it's basically (what people been saying) an "interactive movie".

So yeah, it's Dreamfall, Simon 2 and 3 then. But really wanted to try at least JP 3. Help me make or change my mind on JP 3... ;)

True. I would say that by playing the first game first (which I did) it'll make April's transition between the two more meaningful, but it'd probably work more or less in the other direction.

Ooops, my bad. Yup, I meant Simon 1 and 2. I was thinking about JP 2 and 3 when typing that, LOL! So yeah, still getting those three games I mentioned. But how 'bout JP? 2, or 3, or both? :D

Oh thank God. :)

Malaysia has always been in my Top 3 countries to visit, but I was just starting to think ""Jeez, Malaysians are dumb"" !!!!@! :)
Dreamfall here I come!.. I hope they will consider to finish the story someday.
why is LBA2 on sale and LBA1 is not? :\ Maybe it's a silly question, but really, as customer I'd be more than happy to buy an entire series instead of a single episode during sales... and Simon the Sorcerer is there.
Could GOG ask the publisher add LBA1 to the group as well? If not well, it's a game I've played a lot, so I'll just stick with LBA2 and wait for another sale :P (I'm not a cheap ass, but I'm going trough a bad moment guys)

As JudasIscariot has answered this question, it is -allegedly- because they were on sale during the Battle of the Games (which does make sense, as the publisher probably didn't allow it to be featured in a sale so soon again, so I guess it is true).

damn :( I had just the time to check a single day, I got two games on steam (Ys Origin, awesome game, and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet), then checked gog and planned to get something later on, but never had the time...
Nothing for me in the promo this time. I was thinking about Simon the Sorcerer for a moment, but then I remembered that I didn't like it too much when it came out and that I still have the retail box somewhere.

Will go and preorder Symphony instead.
