I could possibly be moving to the Augusta, GA area in next month or so. I never been their so I’m interested in what is it like? any of me fellow gog been their before?
It's been many years since I was there but . . . it's a typical town located near an Army post. Fort Gordon actually . . . took my AIT there with weekends in Augusta . . . =)

Edit: Best know for the PGA Masters Tournament I should add . . .

HOT in the summer, nice in winter. Other than that, it's probably as Stuff said: military town, which has a tendency to shape things beyond what the locals would normally turn it into. That can be both good and bad.
intresting, well It can't be as bad as East St.louis. which is two town over from where I'm at now.
You'll probably find the weather similar, then.

Far north Georgia is nice, and there's some really beautiful stuff to see in the NoGA / TN / NC area. A whole ton of history in the area you'll be in, if that's your thing. Also a ton of outdoorsy stuff to do.

Edit: you'll also be just a couple hours from Savannah, Charleston, and Asheville, all worth seeing. And of course, the Atlantic coast and all it has to offer is just an hour or two away.

I spent most my life 10minutes from the ocean it will be nice to get back. Plus I bet the water is a lot warmer the NH. I can also work on my golf game maybe score under 100 one of these days.
Hmm. I've never been to Augusta, GA in my travels as a drill rig operator but I found Georgia to be quite sparse and boring as hell to drive through.
