Looks like Atari is jumping on the band wagon - Just got an e-nail and they are offering The Witcher 2 Pre-Order 10%, the DRM Free version, and the Original Witcher for free. North America Only - See Attached.

The original - Which can be patched to the EE. They must have a load of the original they need to get rid of since this is the physical game not digital download and shipping is why its NA only.

Wasnt it said in one of the CDPR/GOG videos that GOG was the ONLY place that had DRM free?

Actually when you go to order you can choose physical or digital for Witcher 2 and a digital Witcher EE gets added to your cart. They just must have used the wrong picture.

Reaver remember that Atari only stores the game on their servers for a year. They still charge for download protection which covers two years. That's crap.

They still haven't got rid of that crap? that's almost as bad as the worst DRM.

Yeah that probably only applies to the digital version.

Correct if I'm wrong but surely everyone here would probably still gladly pay the extra $5 to have Witcher 2 and Witcher EE on GOG and not Atari?

Totally agree. But if you think that's bad, I was at a site where they were selling their video on both dvd and digital download. Their policy clearly states that if you buy the digital version, there's no drm but the download link which you paid for is only active for seven days. After seven days support won't help you whatsoever.

If they have the right to do it, they might be able to patch the DRM out, but more likely they meant that TW was going to include a patch to remove the DRM, not TW2.

You know after taking a second look at the image - (OP Above) the DRM Free is down by the original Witcher Picture. They are probably talking about the original with the DRM Patched Out. Perfect Bait and Switch.

The picture certainly looks that way, but the sentence in the uppermost part is rather straight-forward.
