"Aselia the Eternal" or "Eien no Aselia -The Spirit of Eternity Sword-" as it is known in Japan is getting an official release in English by JAST later this year. It's a visual novel/RPG hybrid with over 50h of playing time and many possible routes and different endings. What is surprising is that for the first time since the inception of the company in 1996, they will be releasing a title fit to play by the minors (rated 15+). All their previous releases have been rated Adults Only up until now.

It's worth mentioning that Aselia has been previously fully translated by fans in 2010 in the form of a patch to be applied to the original Japanese version. However the price of Aselia in Japan is in the range of 200$ and so I doubt that many people have bought it and many that played it probably downloaded it. The fan-translation forum is here.
What is noteworthy is that JAST didn't buy off fan translation as they have been doing for some time with other titles, but instead will provide their own. Aselia first has been released in Japan as an eroge (erotic game) for PC, later ported to PS2 with lots of additional content added and minus sex scenes. That version was backported to PC and is the one being translated.

Well I'm kinda interested in this since it appears to be a Tactical RPG/

Looks interesting, always been a sucker for the outlandish anime style but hate how the games play outside of Final Fantasy Tactics and its clones.
