No discs, just digital downloads. You can burn them on a disc though, if you like, there's no copy protection or other DRM and they will work independently from your GOG account or your internet connection, even on offline computers.

You can choose to download the games via GOG's download client or just ignore it and use your own browser or download manager.

You should consider using the GoG downloader program since it makes downloading multiple installers easier for you rather than just downloading in your browser. But the actual file can be stored on any medium you choose (that is used to store data) and in multiple versions if you want.
Also, if you want to burn your games to disc, you may be interested in these fan-made DVD inlays for DVD boxes.

I assumed they meant 'joined a while ago, but never posted on the forums before' and seemingly never used the site.
hmmmmmm. tenuous.

Actually, back when I joined, I found out that I had already created an account here almost one year before that, and it beats me why I had created it and what I had done with it, because I thought I had never heard of GOG before and I hadn't downloaded a single game. So I can relate to "joining" a long time after creating an account. ;)

(Then again, there's always the possibility that I'm schizophrenic. :P )
