Hey,

i can't find this information anywhere.
Are the latest updates applied to the games?

If no, is it even possible to download them and install them on these drm free games?

Tnx in advance

Most games are patched up, not always to the very latest one, but you can always download the patch yourself and install it.

Which I wouldn't do. If you apply old patches from somewhere around the net, it might screw up the fixes GOG made to those games, like reinstating the disc check.

Consider a GOG game the best "official version" there is. From there on it is mostly fan patches or mods. For those I would look into the game forums or on our most awesome Wiki.

When in doubt, it is patched. If still in doubt, ask the community. If then still doubt persists, seek salvation in GOG.
Most of the time, all games here are patched up to their most recent or stable patch, and sometimes even extra patched for compatibility issues and such. But this is mostly on a game-to-game basis.

So for applying extra patches, if you ever feel the need to do so, you'd probably have no problems doing it. Same goes for modding.

For instance, Gothic3 was originally without the fan made patches, but was subsequently updated to 1.75. You can find the info at the bottom of the game description. The game itself was easily patchable in it's early state.

edit: SimonG is right, unless you're really sure and checked with the community, patching might not be the best idea

i wouldn't recommend installing patches on GOG games either. GOG exe files, data files etc are vastly modofied.

In best case scenario, you will not be able to launch the game at all.

But community patches for GOG versions often are being made after some time, so I wouldn't be worried that much.
