I like the first one because it's more tactical but second one is bit difficult and has slightly different mechanics from first one.

But I play SC2 frequently so I just find those games to be enjoyable. If you can afford it, just get the both one. :)

The first GC was pretty ground breaking at the time. Playing it is like seeing that little piece of history when gaming changed just a tiny bit.

I'll tell you my summation of GC1:
"An astoundingly boring masterpiece."

It's extremely well done, but so incredibly slow and boring that, despite no major mechanical flaws, and a decent story, I could not keep playing it.
