By the way, there is a way to have Aquaria without purchasing the game. All you need to do is install the demo, copy the content files, download the source code, compile/build the game with the content files from the demo, and there you go, your very own functional full Aquaria.

But I wouldn't suggest it, :p the game is really worth paying for. ;)
Been playing archon for about a wek and a half. There was a mission where it crashed to desktop before beginning the mission twice. The next day I started the game and the mission ran smoothly. Don't know what happened, but I haven't had any other issues. I'm enjoying it a lot. The campaign makes little sense and is there only to give some units an excuse to bash each other in but I'm loving all the improvements these guys did to the old Archon game AND the possibility to play it exactly the way it used to be (old pixelated graphics and all).

They open sourced it because of the Humble Indie Bundle. Yeah you can compile it yourself.

carnival73: Anyone else have issues with Aquaria or Aztaka?
My version of Aztaka worked just fine on XP. The game was very buggy though.

Thanks for the info but I don't think it will run either way.
I have issues with it not being good...

I just did some investigation on the net and realized that I don't know anything about compiling. =P

Catalyst turned itself back on again somehow and my drive really needed a good defraging so I might try the demo again.

The ease of compiling depends entirely on the competence of the person who wrote the build scripts. It could be easy or require a trip to the ninth circle of hell. I wish you luck on your journey:)
