Hey guys, just a heads up and a bit of a question or two. I just got invited to a closed beta of a game I actually participated in the original beta of, APB. When it was first out by EA, I got into the beta, thought the game was kind of rubbish, let them know what I didn't enjoy, never played again, and a few months later I heard the makers of the game ran into financial trouble and the game servers were taken offline and the paying gamers basically lost all investments in the game. Now I am seeing it is under different ownership but am curious, did anyone else get an invited to beta test it again? And have they tried it since the new ownership. I really don't remember much about it, except that I didn't like it.

Well the first beta was bad, and the game kind of failed horridly...But I may give it a download, I mean not every day is one invited to a closed beta, lol.
Its going free to play now isn't it? Wonder if they'll let australians play this time
Maybe because we started as a convict nation, they think we'd all play the criminal side and noone would be left to play as the police

That closely mirrors my own experience. After one play session in the beta, and the announcement of the payment model, my initial thought was "Well, that's going to fail horribly". Turns out I was right.

It might work as free to play, depending on what they do with it.

Yeah, well, my experiences with K2 seems to be that they are free 2 play with micro-transactions, so it could work...I just am not sure about beta testing the game again...lol
