It's magazine about Dungeon & Dragons, and I find that they are very entertaining to read.. Even the old ones back 20 years ago!

If you are interested in Dungeon & Dragons, I think its insta-read.

This...is a blast from the past. Thank you for reminding me! Is it weird that I love those old rpg's even though a lot came out before I could even game, and the rest I was too stupid to be able to play, anyway? It's funny playing a game that is as old or older as you are.
There was a CD-Rom collection that had several years of the magazine, ads and all, in PDF format. I bought it and sold it for a pretty penny - and made copies of the PDFs. Some of those early issues are awesome because they talk about some of the earliest computer RPGs, and review them. It's amazing how far things have come.
I didn't think there was anywhere to legitimately get these. Collectors have been hording the remaining copies and only part with them for "collectible" type prices.

I would love to see the entire thing digitized, it's a really great piece of culture.

Wow, nice, so I can get a digital copy I guess:)

HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST I GIVE YOU A COPY GOOD SIR, I DO NOT PARTAKE IN DIGITAL PIRACY.

That and it'd take me weeks to upload it.

In all seriousness, though? The collection was only in stores for a short time. Apparently rights issues kept the publishers from making enough copies, so the set is sold for insanely high prices on eBay. Or was.

I think I still have my copy of that bundle, 5 cds with Dragon 1-250 and another magazine, Strategic Review or something that came before Dragon.
Dragon (and Dungeon) was always an excellent read, even if just for the lore of it, but add all the extra things it had, and it becomes a huge asset for any kind of game, roleplaying or not.
The online mag that comes with your D&D Insider account isn't alll that bad either.
