The only games that are really unexpected, are the ones to complete a bundle so i can get it at 80% rather than %60.

Quite annoying.

Full package (8 games): $7.17
Two of eight games: $7.98
One-less than full package: $12.78

Now there's even more games i didn't want or care for... but i won't bother hiding them until later, after i download them or the sale finishes and i'll comment what i got for my haul...

But why didn't you just buy them as a gift, redeem yours and then trade\GA the rest?

That did occur to me, but only after i replied in here.

However it would mean i'd have 2-4 games at a time that would have to be gifted together, unless someone was willing to only take the games they agreed on.
All my purchases are unexpected since I don't know when specific games go on sale.
But no, I only purchase games I'm mildly interested in anyway.

tritone: I love GOG's "new math" that sometimes occur during these sales!

I was interested in a couple of the Spiderweb RPG games... Geneforge and Avernum... but not so much the others. With the bundle last night, those 2 games were like $6 apiece, $12 total. And that was a hefty sale right there. However, if you bought the entire bundle, which also included Avadon 1 & 2, the entire bundle was only $7!

Sometimes it "pays" to check a bundle to see if you only want some of the games, but can you save a lot more if you just go ahead and buy them all. Wacky!
You'll be glad to have picked up Avadon. Soooo good. And different enough to be some good fun. And it's a lot harder to permanently break your character.
I bought Kentucky Route Zero, even though I had previously decided to not buy any season passes and it was only 50% off.

I really wanted That One Indie Game Which Never Goes On A Deep Sale, but guess what, it didn't go on a deep sale this time, either.
In this sale? I hardly managed to make any planned (expected) purchases.
yes, it encouraged me to buy a ton of old favorites that I actually have box copies of already but cant play without excessive fiddling. I also bought a bundle of games of a genre that I don't enjoy playing for my spouse who so far hasnt expressed the slightest interest in them. oops
I wouldn't have picked Planescape Torment, because while I had heard of and played the Baldur's Gate series, I had never heard of Planescape Torment. That's not the reason though. Normally, I just get put off by games that people hype too much. It just makes me not want to play them. I reluctantly purchased this game during the sale and well, it's my most played game out of the bunch that I purchased on here. I find this game easier than Baldur's Gate 2 and that makes for a better gaming experience for me (not taking away anything from BG2 since I still beat that game and it's awesome).
8 purchases from the wishlist (nothing of high priority left) and 9 unplanned purchases so about 50/50.
I would say GOG's marketing tricks generally work quite well on me. Came here for a handful games and now have almost 200, I suspect that's a common story here.

EDIT: Also picked up a bunch of gift codes, those are unplanned purchases as well.

It's the all time best seller for a reason :) Don't worry though, BG2 is second
