So, I stopped playing Battleforge since that game is too addictive.

For those who don't know the game:
The game is made by the same team which made the Spellforce series. It's card based (like Magic the Gathering) but in real time, so you draw the cards and command the troops in real time.

The client itself is free to play, so you can try it. And trust me it's a lot of fun. Btw. if you download the game, you can login with your existing EA account right away.

Now, here is the deal. Since I've bought a lot of cards and I don't use it I'd happily exchange them for gog games. I'd gift the cards in the game which is fine by the EULA. I have thousands of BFP points worth of cards and I make a list of them if someone is interested. I plan to give 1500 points worth of cards for a 9.99 gog. (I think they give a 1000 points for 10 bucks).

That's very interesting

I'm playing BattleForge for two weeks(and it's a great game) and If I had money now, maybe we had a deal.

But it's a great deal by the way

The graphics looks a bit cartoonish.

The gameplay looks like this:
- you have to make a deck of 20 cards (you get 32 free cards with the free client)
- there are 1, 2, 4 and 12 players PvE maps, which means co-op play if the map is not for only 1 player (but it's online even for the single player maps)
- you start the map which all have interesting stories (except the random maps), think about something like warcraft3
- you have to summon your buildings, units and spells via cards and everything is in realtime
- the game is not easy at the first time, you have to choose your cards and your strategy wisely, I recommend watching the tutorials

You should really try it if you like cardgames and rts, the base game is free after all.

Well, guys, if anyone is interested in the game, I can gift a dozen or two common cards (and 1-2 uncommon) for anyone to try (yes, I wrote dozen).

I've got the client on some coverdisc somewhere; gonna check it out later.

It's pretty fun, but fairly shallow (maybe the high level pvp pool is deep, but I don't swim in those waters). There is a very large discrepancy in power between the 'advanced' (ie buy them/rare) cards and the basic cards.

My kid was into it for a while and we still play every once in a while. Although honestly we mostly just spend time in the 'demo arena place' summoning things and fighting them, then switching sides and fighting the left overs. It is good for what it is, but it is a typical f2p game in that there is a rather large incentive to buy stuff.

If I remember correctly the best way to buy points is/was to buy a new box and apply that code to your account. You can apply them over and over (buying new boxes each time) and you continue to get the starting X/$ starting points every time you apply a new code.

Overall, it is worth playing to see if you like it or not, you can surely get a feel for the game just by going through the first several levels. There are much worse 'f2p' games to play than BattleForge.

Hey, about the common cards..do you know how much gold costs to buy them in-game?
Sorry, I've started two weeks and I'm little "lost" about the market

One common can be between 150 to 500 golds. The most cards can be bought for 300. But beware, the game is full of scammers and you cannot direct trade gold. So your best bet is the official battleforge forum, usually you find quite a few honest trader there.
