Any musicians on here who upload to sound cloud ? I play bass and guitar and have uploaded quite a few covers, game tunes and improvs and wondered if anyone fellow GOGers have any tracks to share.

Here's a partial i did earlier that you may have heard of.

I made a thread a bit ago and some peoplpe linked their music

ill have a listen to a bit of your stuff now then check back :) +1 for being a muso!

Edit : Just had a listen, Generally pretty nice rendition, well done :D

I haven't played guitar in years so I suck these days but the legato runs at the start of the solo were slightly out of time and not mega tight, also at about 28 seconds sounds like a sweep picked arpeggio but its all muted? need to practice the sweep picking so all the notes are clear. Unless you were not sweeping and just doing a rake of course then it was all good xD

Just noticed there are more on there, I thought it was just the one :D Some nice stuff on here, I like your easy solo :) My brain added the mike patton EEEEUUGH at the start \m/

I'm probably wrong but I think you was picking the knopfler style solo, gotta fingerpick that shizzle :D . Also are you doing your drums in bfd 2 or a live drum sound vsti ? screw with the velocity on the hits so that they are all slightly different and do accents when doing acoustic drums, makes em sound a lot more real :D (tho I normally ruin them by over compressing it to hell after doing this use the compressor more as an effect than a production tool) xD

Thanks, thats one of my favourites also.

Yeah theres around 40 track on there. I did use finger picking on a Strat for the dire straits solo because it's just wrong to use a pick for that one.

All the drum tracks are exported from guitar Pro tracks and then imported to Cubase 5 as i am hopless with drums or a drum machine. I sometimes add a few plugins from Guitar Rig 5 to make them sound a bit more realistic.

I'm also liking all your tracks. I can't lie i don't normally listen to anything without guitars but i like everything you've posted.

Cubases own drum software is pretty good! you use beat designer and map the pads from the sampler, I think its called halcyon one? (not used it in ages) Then you get access to step sequencing with velocity etc, just clicking things in :D there's a couple of good tuition videos on youtube. I tend to play things in horribly on my MPK mini pads then drag everything into the correct positions afterwards in piano roll. Primitive but does the job!

Edit : Cheers for saying that about my tracks :D, I just got back from a guitar festival (international gypsy guitar festival).
Saw some awesome players! dorado schmitt played with his son, also got sunburned in a jamming circle and bruised my hand playing a solid oak cajon my mate made :s . Probably why they make them out of ply and MDF so you dont get sausage fingers!
