I can't play mmo's any more really, every spare penny is accounted for these days. That said I really quite miss Dark Age of Camelot. The battlegrounds, playing a stealthy assassin, epic keep defences...that sort of thing. Do any of you wise old gamers happen to have a recommendation for something I might have missed that could fill the void?

Have you tried any of these free to play MMO's? There are a fuckton out there these days... I remember playing MU online, which was a fun diabloish online game... But man, there are billions.

Warhammer Age of Reckoning is free to play up to level 10, It means your stuck in tier one forever but the battlegrounds can be fun.

Well, I hate f2p asian mmos and as to warhammer well...it's ok, it just isn't Daoc. Thanks for the effort though guys, I guess I wil,l go muck around with NWN or something. :)

I don't have much faith in pvp for the new Neverwinter Nights MMO Cryptic is making, A: 4e DnD rules aren't made for PVP they are made for monster bashing, and B: I don't think Cryptic makes PVP a big part of there MMO's, we will probably get some Battlegrounds, if Star Trek Online is any indication.

Guild Wars is a great PvP RPG if you can get past the steep learning curve.
