Oooh. That sounds interesting. Thanks!
Having played it quite a bit recently I feel the need to recommend The Precursors. It's definitely a diamond in the rough.

Hired Guns was released for the PC as well. Though I preferred the Amiga version myself.
Also take a note of the upcoming indie RPG/Visual Novel hybrid "Planet Stronghold". It's slated for January 2011 and 0.7 alpha is already downloadable for free. Supposedly it will cost about 20$, but preordering now you pay 50% less.
I downloaded alpha and played it a bit - seems good so far. Considering preorder.

Are you talking about the sequel or this game, I knew that a sequel was made and that it got "meh" reviews. Never bothered to check to if this was released on PC, still got it for my amiga :)

No, I mean the original Hired Guns. It was released for both systems (PC and Amiga). My Amiga disks got erased accidentally and I couldn't find another copy, so I bought the PC version from a friend. I still have it sitting on my shelf of old DOS games.

oh ok, cool. My amiga is stashed in a big blue box, I have nowhere to set it up. I guess right now it would be easier if I had it on PC...

... HIRED GUNS ON GOG, NOOOW, PLEASE!!! :D

trevor.longino: Yes, it was indeed Albion. Thanks!
Oh my... one of the best games ever created. Isn't Blue Byte Software part of Ubisoft now? Would be great to see some games from their golden age: Battle Isle series, Incubation, Archimedean Dynasty, Extreme Assault...
