I really loved Sierra's old adventure games, especially Shivers and Shivers 2, but I can't get them to work well on my modern PC. I know Sierra is defunct now, but does anyone know who owns the rights to their catalog now? Is there any chance of ever seeing them on GOG?

I hope so. You can vote for them on the wishlist.

Google for squirt the cat if i am not mistaken. He has some patch to run older siërra games on modern hardware. He certainly has one for shivers 2 (but you might have to skip the first video in your motel room or the game will crash).

I'll give those patches a shot! Thank you!

Well... not shivers ;) but it's forgiven when you release it in 4 minutes ;)
I love the original Shivers! (Shivers 2, I only played for a few hours and couldn't really get into... maybe I should give it another shot?) It would be nice if it gets added to the GOG catalog, or perhaps even a double pack containing both games.

In the meantime, you might want to try Dark Fall. It looks quite similar and I've heard good things about it - I haven't played it yet though, despite having owned it for a long time. So many games, so little time. :-)

I had part 2 back in the 90s, it would be great if both games were available here. I was really surprised to see they weren't.
Besides the fact we haven't seen an Activision release since 2012, unless I'm mistaken Shivers needs Win 3.1 or Win 95 to be installed in DOSBox - http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-430378.html (Somebody can correct me if only DOSBox is needed)
I'm still waiting for Ripper from Take Two Interactive.
Any chance we'll see the Adventures of Willy Beamish on gog anytime soon?
Shivers is one of my favorite all time movies (almost got Cronenberg deported from Canada :P) but I had no idea it was the name of a game. Far out.
I was just thinking the other day that I should look into seeing if Shivers was available anywhere! I'll vote for it on the wishlist.

It's not a compelling as the first. Instead of a museum you get a very small village with a puzzle to enter a building and a puzzle in a building if I remember correctly. The story of a lost rock band in a strange village just didn't do it for me. In the museum i could believe how strange everything was, in a real town not so much. Still creepy and fun but not as good as the first.
