One promo has just ended and it's time for another one! Too good to be true? Well, check out what great deal we have for you this weekend. Until Monday, October 25 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, we're offering [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/anuman_games]the whole Anuman Interactive catalogue at bargain prices. You're feeling like playing adventure games? Grab Syberia series, Still Life or Amerzone. Maybe you're more into strategies? Get the great space strategy Haegemonia. And if you're in a mood for some fast-paced action we have discounted Iron Storm and Megarace series. Buy all games from the promo or complete the Anuman catalogue and you'll receive a 50% discount. Buy individual games and you'll get 30% off. No time to waste as great and cheap games await!
That's that, I guess. Bought Still Life. Now GOG, bring us Still Life 2! :D
Well I have Syberia 1 and I have Postmortam so I gues you'll all know what 2 games I am getting...!!!

_ViE_ChampioN_: I'm going to echo some other posters feelings on this one: 30% doesn't cut it for what is largely a fairly unremarkable games catelogue. There's too many "hit and miss" titles included in the promo which, from reviews and comments here, one might like or might not like. Consequently, these last three promo sales have been too easy to pass over, and it's a shame. If each game was 50% off if bought individually then GOG would have had at least half-a-dozen sales from me over the past couple of weeks.

Don't get me wrong: there's games that I have wanted, but the 30% off price doesn't promote impulse purchases. I nearly bought Syberia 2 but there's this niggling feeling that the Christmas promo could herald a 50%+ price. If anything, it will at least be 30% off again within the next year, and I'm prepared to wait. For a gamer who has at least 30+ games on their GOG backlog like I do the "take everything at 50% off or tough luck" sales don't hold water. Ultimately, I hope this type of pricing structure for sales isn't a permanent trend.
The pricing structure has been this way since I can remember buying games from here.
Well after two years as a member I've finally reached the dreaded ' >$100 in a month' milestone. This promo put me over the top. Had to get Iron Storm since I've been interested in it for its intriguing premise along with Syberia 2 (to complete the collection) and Haegemonia (since I love space strategy games).

I should get an e-cookie at the very least, shouldn't I?

How do you think I got to $100 this month? :)
Already own Amerzone, Syberia I and II and Still life on cd. So I think I'll pass for this week also, still have a lot of games to play.

I have 67 games in my GOG backlog, around 10 non-GOG games I have purchased and a number of free games I want to play someday (as in specific titles, not "there are free games out there and I want to play them all"). I'm still determined to buy every 50% pack. It's going to be easier as time passes.

You think that's bad? Take a look at this pathetic situation:

--Backlog of 92 games on GOG
--Backlog of 34 games on Steam
--Wishlist of 43 games on GOG
--About 10 boxed games (some yet to be opened) awaiting play
--"Currently Playing" 41 games (along with expansions) on HD
--Four MMO's with lifetime subscriptions, and another MMO I haven't even opened, yet.

...ugh...

Looking at that list, I can see why I feel like I have more games than I can play.. I am obviously the poster boy for OCD and impulse-buying, and it's a good thing I don't have more time or money to spend on games.

Now, please excuse me while I hang my head in embarrassment and slink away....

I didn't even realize they had those. How much did that cost? (And please tell me one of them isn't APB)

No, I didn't bother with APB. I've got lifetimes for Champions Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Hellgate London (now defunct), and that's all I can think of. Do I have a fourth??? I must have been thinking of Dungeons and Dragons Online. Or perhaps Guild Wars. Or maybe I'm simply going out of my mind, here....

Lifetime subs are NOT cheap. They usually go for around $200, so you only want to get one if you think you're going to be playing for more than a couple of years. Of the lifetime subs I have, one is no longer online, three are now free-to-play with micro transactions, and the last one has no subscription fees.

Was it worth it? It would have been for Hellgate, but they went bankrupt because the CEO robbed the company blind. It has definitely been worth it for LOTRO and GW. As for Champions Online, I'd trade my CO lifetime for a City of Heroes/Villains lifetime sub in a heartbeat. As you can probably tell, lifetime subs are a gamble. After being in the beta, I was quite sure I didn't want a Star Trek Online lifetime subscription, so I skipped that one.
