This time The Ship developers Outerlight have closed their doors thanks to Ubisoft. Link
Wasnt the Ship like one of the first if not the first non-valve game that was on Steam? I remember when Steam had Darwinia and Ship besides their own hl2 mods available.

edit: I'm reading it was a hl2 mod.

No, we're not the ones to blame! Those damned pirates are, stealing our games, so that we can't fund our developers!
Maybe if we used an even more draconic DRM on our games...

Although I haven't played The Ship (to be honest, I haven't even HEARD about it until now), it's always sad to see developers being eliminated by their owner publishers.

Yeah, like what? Armed guards that monitor how you play their games? It's the logical next step if you think about it.

Damn you Ubisoft *shakes fist/gives the finger*

Dude that would be AWESOME!!! :) and it would create jobs!!! Imagine standing over noobs with a 50 cal pointed at their head making comments about how they better not think of pirating or cheating, or violate the EULA :)

Ahh... that would be kind of cool.... Sorry nerd you used a trainer, and must die!

Seriously that sucks :(
I don't know that I'm too sympathetic, to be honest. Who'd honestly have spent that long in the industry and not know that Ubisoft are bipoloar money-grubbers?

Well we are talking about a Developer that released a single game in nearly 5 years, it's already a miracle they managed survived that long

^ This. I doubt they had been closed down has they been producing value on a timely schedule.
Not sure how much blame you can throw on Ubi for shutting down a developer who have created 2 games in their life time that the vast majority of people have never heard of.
