Any mobile OS users out there?

I've actually stayed away from smartphones and tablets myself, but the reasonable price points here make me reconsider. Still not too down with the tablet, but for $350 you get such a good, unlocked HSPA+ phone. Seems like the best deal to get a high-end handset. I'm more interested in the phone simply because it will likely perform as well as a tablet, yet in a pocketable form factor (and 4.65" is probably enough screen real estate for a mobile OS, unless you are really into comics).

Of course, if you ARE interested in tablets, $199 and $249 for 8GB and 16GB Tegra 3 7"ers is an absolute Kindle Fire destroyer. I'm curious to see if there's any GOGers interested in this stuff.

Yup ...

The Nexus 7 tablet is on the UK Google Play store too and fairly reasonably priced (£160 for 8GB and £200 for 16GB model) considering most places follow a $1=£1 policy in pricing stuff up....

All good stuff :)
I wish my Galaxy S2 gets the Jelly Bean upgrade too.
Nice tablet, but I really hate the fact that Google removed sd card slot to force people to use their cloud services. I am not sure if I want to support such practices. Anyway, a great tablet.

Yeah, I'll take Jelly Bean if ASUS decides to release it for the Transformer. So far ASUS has released the new Android versions for the old Transformer in a timely manner as far as I can tell, so it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that ASUS cares about its old customers. Just for that, I'll also probably get my next gaming laptop from ASUS. :)

If ASUS does not release JB for Transformer, I guess I'm still ok, seems to me it is mostly yet another UI update. Fine I guess, but I won't be replacing my tablet for a new one, just for Jelly Bean.

Still trying to figure out what the heck I should do with the tablet, though. Lately I've been playing some free Bejeweled game on it, when I've been very bored.

On my Android phone, the stupid Google car navigation program still proclaims it is not supported in my area, at least the last time I tried to run it. WTF? The car navigation was one of the main reasons I bought an Android phone!

Maybe I'll buy a Nokia Lumia (or whatever) next, as soon as they release a proper Win8 phone, and not that current Win7/7.5 sh*t. At least the free car navigator worked great in earlier Nokia Symbian phones, even in offline mode without an internet connection. I presume it is the same in Lumia (and other Win8) phones, as apparently they are all using the Nokia maps navigator by default.

I've been interested for a while in getting an el cheapo $150 Android tablet to play with; heck, even places like Canadian Tire are selling them now, and they're even coming with ICS pre-installed. So for $50 more, I could get a tablet with cutting-edge specs and all the fixins plus the very latest version of Android? And 90%-guaranteed non-crappy build quality? Wow. I think I've just found my newest Christmas/Birthday gift.

No SD slot is annoying, but could I use a card reader with the on-board Micro USB slot?

Why not to use a different navigation program then? E.g. OsmAnd.

This is really tempting, but no expandable storage = no sale for me. Also, holding out for a good Windows tablet.
