Mentalepsy: You should mark this post as the solution.
Yes, that clears it up quite nicely.

crazy_dave: EDIT: GOG making adjustments to get demos to work would be one reason for them to officially host demos. But since GOG games are cheap enough that, with sales, I don't think it's worth their time since, as I said before, you can treat the games on sale almost as a demo.
Right, and typically bugs end up showing up in the appropriate game forum if they're of any significance anyways. Sure you might run into a bug related to your computer that other folks don't have, but I'm not sure that happens often.

And other forumers are happy to (and usually able to) help solve those. I've been impressed by the knowledge base of the users here.

The only bug I've experienced which seemed to affect everyone and couldn't be solved by forumers was with Castles II (it looks like GOG will have to solve it) and Castles II, while still a really nice game, is definitely a nostalgia-buy.

Azarr: Please, go back to your fantasy land. I, at least, find your delusions unwanted.

If you're not interested in a game, that's it. Why do you feel it is necessary to share your ideas of what belongs here or not? Write a review if you feel like it. But please don't come here and try to say that a game doesn't belong here, just because you don't like it.

I don't know about Panzer Elite, but I happen to think Sacrifice is a brilliant game that more than deserves to be here.
And just because you can't figure out how to play a game, I assume, doesn't make it unplayable.
Sacrifice is junk because the POV isn't alterable, and blocks crucial views. Horrible design, horrible game. Unplayable. Ripoff. Worthless. Deserves to be deleted from the Gog catalog. Another excellent example is that "World War I set during the 1960s" turd. Can't even remember the title, just that it was one of the worst games ever, yet here it is, NOT selling, but still in the Gog catalog. Oh, and Azarr, your argument holds no water. Who the fuck are YOU to claim the right to speak, but attempt to silence ME? Fuck off and die. Painfully.

Sacrifice is a brilliant game. No "crucial views" are blocked. You can zoom the perspective out if you think the wizard takes up too much screen space. It just so happens that Sacrifice is innovative, and dares to be a different kind of game than all the identical incremental AAA titles out there. You don't know how to play it, fine. That does not make it a bad game, however. It's brilliant, and I wish more developers had the guts to make something new, rather than make something safe.
Let me get this straight, since YOU don't like a game, it should be taken off GOG?

You're welcome ;-) Sacrifice is one of the two games I always hype for being terribly overlooked and highly original. The other is Giants: Citizen Kabuto. They are both unique (at least I've never seen anything remotely like either of them) and very humorous. A subtle kind of humor in the case of Sacrifice, which will make you chuckle quietly, and an over-the-top kind of humor in the case of Giants, which will make you howl with laughter at certain times.

Oh, and Sacrifice features voice acting by Tim Curry, which in my book is always a plus ;-)

Giants was a favorite of mine back in the day but some how I have overlooked Sacrifice. Your description was exactly what I look for in a game. Don't know why I have ignored it . . . =)

Plus, my standards will allow me to try it . . . lol . . . I bought Messiah (not played it yet) just because it sounds unique !!

*sigh* So did I. Unfortunately, it won't run on my rig without massive, and I mean MASSIVE lag. Too bad, because it seems like a brilliant game. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Wishbone: ...
I hope Messiah runs on one of my systems. I hesitated because it is still not supported on Win 7. Eventually it will come to the top of my list . . . =D

I will probably DL Sacrifice this weekend, don't have time to play it but . . . that's no reason not to get it on my "to do" list . . . =)
