CPC 464 (color version) was also my first computer ever. I still have it, it may even be still functionnal, I'd have to test it. Hours and hours of fun and my first taste of computer gaming!

I fondly remember many games :
- Jet Set Willy
- Manic Miner
- F1 GP
- Macadam Bumper
- Sapiens
- Bloodwych
- Captain Blood

and so many others...
My first computer. I had the green screen version, was jealous of my mate who had a colour monitor!

A couple of my favorite games were Harrier Attack and Gryzor. Still play games occasionally via emulation. Have a pretty complete collection of tape images.
Harrier Attack, now there was a great game, many hours spent flying around bombing stuff :)

I also had the green screen version :)

The good old CPC. Our first one was the 464 with the green screen monitor. Try playing some of the Monty games on that especially the ones where color codes were required!

There was some great stuff on the CPC, for me in particular I'll never forget Oh Mummy! Laser Squad, Lords of Chaos, Monty on the Run, the Dizzy games, StarQuake, Head Over Heels and so many more...

Among my favorite games:

Manic Miner
Jet Set Willy
10th Frame
Ollie and Lisa
Park Patrol
Arkanoid
Rambo II
GI Hero
The Pink Panther (by gremlin / magic bytes)
Batman (by Ocean)
007: License to Kill

And among games I didn't understand a bit, as I was too young:
Lords Of Midnight (had a great looking box tho)

Good times.
Codemasters made a lot of decent games for the CPC :)

I never had a CPC, but last year I saw an AMAZING demo by a French group (Vanity) which made me want one. Different color pallette than the C64 - which makes for some different pictures among the guys still doing pixelling for it.

You'll be happy though - my friend Tomcat in Slovenia (who is one of the 'retro remakes' guys) is almost finished with his remake of Batman. As I recall, he has input from the original author (Jon Ritman.) He previously did the remake of Head Over Heels, which is a _really_ good conversion.
For anybody thats interested there are a load of pc remakes for old 8-bit games at the link below, including Jet Set Willy, Harrier Attack, Psst, Head Over Heels, Klass of 99 (remake of Skool daze, a spectrum game), Wizball and more.

I'm looking forward to the Batman game, Head Over Heels was a fantastic conversion.

I've posted a link above to the site which is hosting these games.

Oh yeah Batman that was a great game, I loved how they did the driving section, completely different from the Amiga version but still lots of fun :D

The pictures of the Batman remake look great, I hope it'll get finished.

Tomcat says it's almost done. And said that I should direct you to the screenshots, which thornton did (:

I'm thinking it will be out before November.
I was wrong, it was December:

[20:50] <Tom-Cat2> truck: BatMan released
[20:50] <Tom-Cat2> http://retrospec.sgn.net/game/batman

So, it's out now (: And as of right now the high score list is pretty empty (:
