I didn't read all the posts so I don't know if it has already been mentioned:
I agree with you and all the 3D animations are becoming annoying for me since I prefer 2D, but 3D obviously is an artform in itself.
To mention some disney stuff: The 2D animated "princess and the frog" was great for me!
"Frozen" by disney was also great, but it would have been at least 2times better in 2D.

Do you like the Studio Ghibli stuff? Some incredible animation there like Chihiro, How's moving castle, Arrietty and many more
Also classics by Don Bluth are great, Secret of Nimh is my favourite, or Anastasia, Land before time part 1,Titan AE.
