Maybe that's the other jrpg surprise that was mentioned.

Mweh i'll bet it comes here eventually, i see it in the future.
I love the Ys series, and I would love to see them here.

That being said, if I may play Devil's Advocate for a second, I'm a little concerned that bringing the (existing) Ys games to GOG first might be counterproductive. The success of Trails in the Sky on GOG is partly due to the fact that it was a day-one release concurrently with Steam. There are a helluva lot of people who would prefer to buy DRM-free, but a lot who will also bite the proverbial bullet and go Steam if there is no other option.

For many years, Steam has been the only option when it comes to the Ys series, so the chances are pretty good that the vast majority of people who want these games are already likely to have them there.

I'd be a little worried that XSEED might be given the wrong impression by what is likely to be poor sales of Ys. Sure, if we see day-one releases of Ark of Napishtim, Ys Seven and Memories of Celceta on GOG, they'll certainly do well, but I wouldn't expect Chronicles, Origins and Oath in Felghana to be a runaway hit on GOG.

(For my part, the reason I didn't buy the Ys PC games on their day-one releases was because they were Steam-only, but I did eventually buy them in a heavy-discount sale, and I don't really have much compelling reason to double-dip when I have most of them on PSP as well).

I played Ancient Land of Ys in the late eighties. I don't know that I'd want to revisit the game itself, but I still remember the excellent music well.
The Ys series getting released here is inevitable. Trails has been doing exceptionally well, so future Falcom releases by XSEED will be happening. Can only hope that they work towards releasing Ys Seven and Ark of Napishtim as those haven't gotten a release by XSEED on pc. Also wouldn't mind seeing Zwei!! and Zwei II Plus, not to mention other Falcom legacy titles.
What else could the hint be?
Voted.
