Are there any goggers playing this game? GoG Guild City in that game would be pure awesome :D
Has the game improved much? Always wanted to go back to it because of my love for the setting, but I don't want to return to a game full of mentally challenged and socially-inept idiots running around.
heh i just started playing 2 days ago and im loving it

and i cant say if it changed or not beacause i havent played it before but ive seen some videos and it looks basicly the same

I have no idea if what it was like before, but I'm absolutely loving the game. Especially the combat with the combos and stuff :)
I played the trial back before it went F2P, and I loved it. Didn't really spend any time actually being MMO-ish, since I never talked to another player, never really acknowledged their existence, and fought enemies on my own. I did quite enjoy it though. I just recently tried F2P version, and it ran like crap. Far too beautiful for my computer, even at lowest settings.
i love conan but i never played it i heard the community was terrible.

You can probably strike every online game off your list then, especially a game where you can run around butt naked in a town.

I used to play it back when it was subscription based and I did enjoy it quite a bit. But the community seemed hard to break into and I just couldn't get any of my friends to switch from WoW so I was forced to switch back to that. I'm thinking of giving it a try again since I can do so for free now. I've been trying to find out if I can use my old account and characters for this new F2P version but i'm still not sure on that.

i think it depends on how old the game is i think the older mmo has a more hardcore base.
So I guess there's not so many players :/

Shame, since a GoG guild in that game would have been awesome :)
Played AOC since launch and finally deleted it off my PC a few months before it went FTP.

The PvE is your typical solo quest grind. The lack of voice acting after Tortage hurts, but I enjoyed myself enough to level one toon to 80. Everyone solo levels so there's really no community. If you play on a PvP server you'll get ganked while you level.

At max level the only things to do are grind raids for gear, or PvP. Normally I love PvP. Played DAOC for 10 years. Hated the PvP in AOC. Very unbalanced.
