LGR - Afterlife - PC Game Review
It's basically SimCity 2000 on shrooms, had lots of fun with this game so +1 vote on the wishlist.
Hey, I have forgotten about this title! I had lots of fun with it back in the day!

I would like to give it another go.
It's a LucasArts game, so... Probably not happening.

Sadly true! But browsing through the wishlists is interesting for us members because you get a sense of what everyone likes and where that correlates with your own likes, and it also makes a statement: Maybe the people in charge at Disney won't ever take a look at the GOG requested games wishlist but if they ever did, they would see that there are a whopping 9 LucasArts games in the top 20 most requested games. The total number of votes may not seem like much in the global market context but it does show that a sizable number of people want these games here, DRMfree.
Even if Disney won't ever budge in a million years, they can at least see approximately how much business they're missing out on because many people who vote for a game on the GOG wishlist have no intention to buy it elsewhere (myself included).
I remember playing this a little bit back in the day. I never got anywhere in it, though. Hell, I just learned to properly play SimCity 2k a couple of years ago, so I really wouldn't know how to play Afterlife back then.

Anyway, I have the fondest memories of the Surfers of the Apocalipse song... :)

GOG.com is working very hard on getting Lucas Arts games, considering that they signed on System Shock 2, I think Lucas Arts could come to GOG.com at some point, but I wouldn't count on it happening anytime soon.

I've always been curious about this one and only learned a few months ago that it's actually a LucasArts game. Would really appreciate a chance to play it. Hope the mouse will budge.

Skepticism is absolutely the right way to go to avoid more disappointment, but this is something to keep in mind (I'm not sure if you saw this or not): http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_us_office_soontobe_built_in_los_angeles_guillaume_as_vp

Oh sure. I'm not saying "don't vote for it". By all means vote for it. That is the point of the wishlist. All I'm saying is "don't expect it to happen, because you will probably be disappointed". I myself am very keen to get the LucasArts back catalog on here, and have voted for most of the games myself. But when LucasArts ran themselves they showed no interest, and Disney is notorious for not releasing old stuff regardless of the level of demand there is for it, so I try to avoid getting my hopes up.
I got to know about this game in our local video game museum (yes, really) and think it looks quite funny.
It's strange to see it in a museum but not in the place formerly designed for gathering good old games, but then again it's from Lucas Arts and therefore unlikely to get here. :/
