Gazoinks: You should really go play TLJ ASAP. 's a great game, it'll give you more appreciation for April's character in the 2nd game as well.

And yeah, LucasArts came out with some brilliant stuff in their heyday. We can only dream they get released on GOG someday... But I suppose Lucas' crazy is contagious.

kelseyr713: TLJ is high on my to-play list, especially now that I've graduated and have more time; I've heard nothing but good things about the story and immersion. And yes, I'm really hoping that someday we see LucasArts on GOG.
TLJ Disclaimer: There is one ridiculously long uninteractive dialog exposition... thing sort of near the beginning of the game. Other than that, the game's not too overly wordy, but just be forewarned. ;)

If LucasArts comes to GOG I will buy everything single game for myself and then host a massive giveaway. Assuming I have money. Which I, uh, probably won't. >.>

I have no problem whatsoever with lots of dialogue...as an English major, I appreciate it, haha.
I absolutely loved the two Syberia games, and they fit this description perfectly. The Longest Journey is also fantastic, but does have a few weird puzzles.

I don't think I saw this one specifically mentioned: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. It's a really good adventure game that I just played recently (it's on Steam) and was surprised to find that it was even fully voiced. There's even a choice you can make to determine how the majority of the game plays out, either:
1. Emphasis on fighting rather than puzzles
2. Simpler puzzles that are solved with the help of a partner (a woman who joins you on your quest)
3. Difficult puzzles and you go through it alone
