NecroViolator: All the dungeons would be Random again, once you left the area.

Snickersnack: Are you sure? While I must admit my memory could be faulty as I haven't played the game in about 10years, I don't see how that would be workable. If random dungeons didn't stay fixed upon generation, the anchor for the teleport spell could end up outside of the play area.
Dungeons were reset when you left them, so you lost the automap and all the monsters were back. But it was still the same dungeon when you came back.

BungBo: If you enable cheat mode by editing the z.cfg file, you can press Alt_F11 to return from the Void if you accidentally end up there and want to get out of it. Bethseda implemented that in one of their official patches.
Actually you don't need to enable cheats for this.

Just tested this in a store, ended up in the void. (Might be because I was already in the store when I loaded.)
From what i've learned DaggerXL is not compatible with Eye Of Argoria, but that's not what causes the client to yell about an incompatible fall.exe. The component that causes it is 'DOS32 Advanced DOS Extender 9.1.2'.
I've managed to launch the game with DaggerXL [with the aforementioned components not installed], but it crashes 2 seconds after getting ingame. Just my luck. ;>
Wait for DaggerXL.

StingingVelvet: Wait for DaggerXL.
I've beat Daggerfall twice while "waiting" for DaggerXL so far.

I hope the best for XL, I'm just not that patience.

Well that's good to know. And it's interesting about what happens if you use Alt-F11 while not in the Void. Hadn't thought about that. Thanks for the info.

Starkrun: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Daggerfall#Downloads

This version has the full game, patches, utilities and Add-Ons. Its the most complete and tested one of them all and even garnered a nod from Bethsoft as the best compilation and install they have seen. It retains all the core gameplay that was intended.

www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Arena#Downloads

Is the sister download in the same style, all patches addons and utilities you need for the most pure experience, so you have the experience Bethsoft intended.
Wow, thanks for that, Starkrun..I have never played the first two games and to be honest with you, I didn't even know about them being freeware. awsome find!
