That said, if people are paying it, what can be done about it? Everything is worth what it's purchaser will pay for it.

marketing or the salaries of all the people who worked on the game anyway
or do you think games just make themselves ?
I'd probably pay around 40 USD for a retail package, maybe as much as 100 USD for a collector's edition retail (depending on what's in it, of course), but 60 USD for a digital copy? I'll wait for a price drop.

Gotta say I enjoyed my quick jaunt to Russia... shirtfronted Vlad (cause Tony doesn't have the balls)... downed a few vodka brewskis...

Agreed, TomentFan. What I would have bought for $20, or even $25, on launch I'll instead wait until I can get for less than $10. This goes for Divinity: Original Sin, Wasteland 2, now Pillars, and I can only assume Tides of Numenera and Grim Dawn. The hubris when it comes to pricing on some indie games has really been pissing me off recently.

I would not pay USD 60 for ANY games.
Except if I see names like Chris Avellone, Colin McComb, and other demigods of crpg. In this case I already spent more than 70 for Eternity, and more than 80 on TToN (USD).
AAA games at launch usually cost 60 USD barebone (without any extra), so no, in this case 60 bucks is not that much (remember Mass Effect 3?).
In this case, most of the money goes to the developers, not to bloodsucking, good-for-nothing corporate assholes, and their assistants.

Both versions are currently 10% off, so if anyone wants it that badly, now's the time to buy them. $54 is better than $60.

hehe, probably. But then again, median is w the middle#, while mean is the average average#. So even in a company like Obsedian, there will be a difference between the median and the mean. Getting the median only get you the number in the middle, if you want to get a total based on #people you would still need to use the mean. If you use the median, the final number you arrive to will not be correct for total#, it will more be what should be an ideal#. Granted, the difference of median and mean within Obsedian is probably not as large as in the US of total, but it is the only number I have to go with.
