Fantastic read just before bedtime :-)

I didn't even know the word obscurantism existed!

But to get to the point I have many silly obscurantism in my day to day life, some of which are not so positive.

I'd like to share one I had as a teenager which is pretty weird. I used to look out of the bus window everyday as I went to school for cars that I had deemed "special". For example I had assigned the special quality to a Ford Falcon XR6 "Turbo" and a Mazda 6 station wagon if I remember correctly. When I saw these cars I would think my day would be good compared to when I didn't see them. The unfortunate thing was that sometimes I would sulk that I didn't see that car on a particular day when I needed it to be good and of course would be very happy when I did indeed see one as I knew it would be a good day.

I would deny the sighting if it was indeed a bad day and had actually seen a "special' car. My idea had to be true and nothing was going to let it be untrue.

Thank you for the giveaway and I hope more obscurantisms are born where there is a giveaway involved :B

Good Night!

morciu: I never finished college and have been unemployed for a while now but for some reason I have the impression that something will turn up and fall out of the sky without me doing any effort to earn it.
Hey man, just wanted to wish you all the best. I've been in that place in my life too. I admit, it took a little push from the right force but once I got that momentum it all worked out. All good things are hard to get in life. Learnt that the difficult way.

:) thanks for the nice wishes, I'll get out of it some how
Thanks for the giveaway, Telika!

I believe the so called "civilized" world will eventually realize that capitalism is not the best nor the only possible model of society.
I believe that the "ancient aliens" theory makes more sense than any other human origin/development claims that have been tossed around. I'm not saying it's true, but it seems more logical to me.

bevinator: Hehe, I heartily approve of this thread.

For me, I will freely drink from a cup someone else has used, and have no issues whatsoever with the reverse, I simply accept the possibility of transmitting an infection as the nature of the universe. However, I view double-dipping as a horrible atrocity (even though Mythbusters decided it was fine). Even though they're essentially the same thing, and according to Mythbusters double-dipping may actually be safer than drinking after someone else, it still bugs me.
1) You won.
2) You are batshit insane.
3) ALL OF YOU ARE COMPLETE FREAKS.

Okay, thingy contest thingy is ended and so am i (haven't slept for 24h), and Bevinator please pm me a 6$ gog game name

I believe that in some way, my topic was responsible for bringing Guilty Gear Isuka to GOG.
