This, and let's not forget that youtube is more interested in policing "hate speech" than it was over the child porn thing, previously. This is more about posturing than actually solving the problem. They're playing whack-a-mole over the adpocalypse and it's just a mess. They need to fix their fundamental approach to these problems.

It's not exact quote, but you get the picture. It is far easier to show care about some poor innocent child, than to actually care for complex problems with solutions that involve tough decisions.

I think pedophilia has become something of "thing everyone can hate", there are few things in the world which everyone, regardless of political ideology, race, nationality or culture can completely HATE, almost always there's a difference of opinion, but with pedophilia nope. And if there's one thing that unites human beings, it's hate.

I think youtube should delete cat and crow videos because there may be zoophiles watching my cat and crow videos, and even following recommendations to find more of these videos.

Well, there ARE pedophilles, and pedophiles are part of humanity, so they are a limitation to that "everyone" (even though there are also pedophiles who honestly hate pedophilia, and I actually suspect some of these to be spamming gog reviews as a hobby).

It's not really an opinion (in the sense of judgement) on these reviewers. It's an interpretation. I actually believe that they have a serious, non-funny, worrying issue (the quick eroticisation of childlike figures), without being bad people themselves (they are horrified by it).

And I believe that they are just yet another breed of busybodies, who have nothing to do, so they spend time moralizing everyone else.

Seriously, after I brought myself up to speed on the subject, for me situation looks much worse and not in relation to pedophilia. I would understand concerns about children making suggestive videos and becoming targets for sexual predators in the process. But apparently the main part of videos that were taken down or demonetized were actually family videos, that had no "suggestive content", but had some nasty (or supposedly nasty) comments from (supposed) pedophiles.

It's what essentially clarry pointed out above. There is no real connection between videos themselves and pedophile gangs, just some suspicions in the heads of (probably) the same people who invented "pizzagate". And youtube, who a few years ago decided to play censorship committee, now has to live up to own "we won't allow anything bad exist on our platform" claims. However, since youtube was never able to police own platform properly (stories about false-flagging and taking down innocent channels (and I mean really innocent, that had no controversial content whatsoever, not just some folks who were censored for political reasons) can be counted by hundreds), current measures are totally inadequate.

Ah. I don't know, honestly i didn't dig into that youtube scandal thingy at all. I only checked what the visual novel reviewers were ranting about, in a different thread, and it's those people that I had in mind in my parenthesis. I have no idea whether the concern about this thread's youtube thing is legit or not.

Which is an issue. When you give people "permission" to HATE something, allow them to throw off the trappings of civilization and turn into animals, shutting off their brains, their morals, their ethics, you create room for people to do that with other things as well. Once people have learned to chuck law and justice out the window, once they've tasted blood... they can learn to like it, learn to want more of it.

Here in the US, people are hating each other more and more, and I think that's due to people feeling infused with moral outrage and righteous justice. And I feel that hatred and animosity is spilling out into the rest of the English speaking world. People are ever quicker to judge, condemn, and hate.
