CrazyProfessor2: Not really surpising, considering that Google owns Youtube.

Sorry. Well, I left it at that and only ever use the website as a "guest". Never followed any channel (with one exception which is no longer relevant) anyway and the recommendations are terrible whether you are logged in or not, so...
All is well here. There just ain't no pleasing some people.
The biggest problem is the unpredictable censorship.

Many creative and fun youtubers had to tone down their video content for fear of offending someone and having their videos demonetized. Now youtube has just become boring.
The functionality seems OK. I don't like the mobile version progress bar though, it's too thin and doesn't react well to touch.

One thing I found strange: the other day I was browsing the desktop YouTube in an incognito window, I was watching the Happy Days Fonzie Jumps the Shark video, when a mini player strip appeared at the top of the screen as I scrolled down into the comments. It only happened in incognito mode, and it no longer does it when I check now.
Youtube is only good when you Download the video's with SAVEFROM Oops... I don't want them to know that!

I also Download 4K video's with 4k Video Downloader Just don't tell Youtube.

AB testing is weird, but you can activate a miniplayer normally and you can scroll off the video while still listening in fullscreen, too.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if there was a way to activate it. It's different than the mini-player toggle.

It was this:

There's probably a cookie toggle you could switch on, but I wouldn't know the exact magic words to say. I slipped into the new Youtube design when it was still in pre-testing by a cookie switch.

There used to be a way to activate that by going to https://www.youtube.com/testtube

But it doesn't seem to do anything right now.
