I had this Thermaltake SViking VA4000BWS case back in 2006 - www.newegg.com/black-thermaltake-sviking-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811133142

It had 2 knobs on the front panel you can adjust to increase the RPM on some proprietary fans. It sounded like a vacuum cleaner on its highest setting. Kinda ironic that the front panel had poor airflow though. And the clear plastic toolkit box blocked most of whatever came through unless you removed it and left it in its box.

agogfan: Not a computer per se, but I had a 52x CD-ROM drive that when playing the disc version of Diablo, would humm at full speed the entire session. That was enough to drown out any other computer noises!
Oh yes, high speed CD drives were absolutely scary under load.
